History reference:
Kwanza is the official Angolan currency. The Angolan kwanza has the international designation AOA, and the designation Kzr is accepted within the country. During the entire existence of the monetary life of Angola, the kwanza was reborn several times. The first version of the kwanza was released in 1977, replacing the previous escudo at a ratio of 1:1. The first kwanza lived until 1990 and then was replaced by a new kwanza.
