History reference:
Kwanza is the official Angolan currency. The Angolan kwanza has the international designation AOA, and the designation Kzr is accepted within the country. This Angolan currency has been in effect sin...ce 2000, when the denomination of banknotes took place. The name of the currency of Angola comes from the name of the main river. During the entire existence of the monetary life of Angola, the kwanza was reborn several times. The first version of the kwanza was released in 1977, replacing the previous escudo at a ratio of 1:1. The first kwanza lived until 1990 and then was replaced by a new kwanza. But local residents could not sufficiently exchange old money for new ones, but they could convert money into government debt obligations. In 1995, in parallel with the existing kwanza, another adjusted kwanza was issued.

History reference:
The Vietnamese dong has been the national currency of the united Vietnam since 1978 and has been on the forex market to this day. In northern Vietnam, the dong appeared earlier - in 1947, in the Sout...h - a little later - in 1955 (also called "free dong"). In 1887, Vietnam became a colony of France, and from December 22, 1896, the French Indochina piastre was used as a currency in the country, which was equal to the silver Mexican peso and had 24.4935 g of pure silver. From May 1947, North Vietnam began issuing the dong of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The exchange rate of piastre to dong was 1:1. But the piaster was used in parallel with the dong in North Vietnam until November 1954. South Vietnam on September 22, 1955 announced the cessation of the use of piastre as a currency and, a month later, on October 15, the issue of banknotes of the National Bank of Vietnam in dongs began. An interesting fact is that on a banknote of 200 Vietnamese dong in 1987, a Belarus tractor is depicted.
