The Congolese franc has been the national currency and money of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1911 (from 1967 to 1997 in the country, in connection with the renaming of the country to Za...ire, it was renamed the new Zaire). On January 6, 1986, instead of force, the Guinean franc was reintroduced (fifth reform), the exchange of force for francs was carried out 1: 1 in the period from January 6 to January 28, 1986.
