History reference:
CLP in the foreign exchange markets stands for the abbreviation for Chiles currency, known as the Chilean peso. The "old" peso was used as the currency in Chile between 1917 and 1959, when the escudo... (CLE) came into effect. The current (or new) Chilean peso was reintroduced on September 29, 1975, replacing the escudo with an exchange of 1 peso for 1,000 escudos. The Chilean people also refer to their currency as "lukoi" when referring to the 1,000 peso note, "quina" for the 500 peso coin, and "gamba" for the 100 peso coin. On September 29, 1975, instead of the escudo, the peso was reintroduced, the escudos were exchanged for 1000:1 pesos. During the years of the dictatorship, on the obverse of the 5 and 10 peso coins, the image of a winged woman breaking the chains was used, with the signature LIBERTAD (freedom) and the date of the military coup 9/11/1973 - the figure symbolized "liberation from Marxism". After the restoration of civil power in Chile, the design of the coins was changed, the image of the national hero Bernardo OHiggins was placed on the obverse.

History reference:
The Bahamian dollar has been the national currency and money of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas since 1966. It replaced the Bahamian pound when the islands were granted self-government, and later ind...ependence (although the country remained part of the British Commonwealth). The Bahamian dollar replaced the Bahamian pound, which was equal to the British pound sterling, divided into 20 shillings or 240 pence, at a ratio of 1 dollar = 7 shillings (1 dollar = 0.35 pounds) in 1966. At the same time, a transition was made to the decimal system - the Bahamian dollar began to equal 100 cents. During the transition to a new currency, three-dollar bills and coins of fifteen cents were introduced, since three dollars are approximately equal to one pound, and fifteen cents - 1 shilling, which was convenient during the transition period.
