History reference:
The Colombian Peso is the official currency of the Republic of Colombia. The peso became the Colombian coin in 1810. In 1837, the peso began to replace the real. In 1931, Great Britain abandoned the gold standard, in the same year the Colombian pesos also moved away from the gold-currency equivalent standard. The Fijian dollar (FJD) is the national currency of the Republic of Fiji, an archipelago state with over 300 islands. FJD was first introduced in 1867, but its latest iteration has been around since ...1969. The modern version of the FJD was introduced in 1969, replacing the Fijian pound at a rate of 2 FJD per Fijian pound. Since then, however, the value of the FJD has been allowed to fluctuate freely in the international currency markets. Between October 2015 and October 2020, the value of FJD against the US dollar remained relatively stable at approximately $0.47 per FJD.
