History reference:
The Cape Verde Escudo (Cabo Verde Escudo) has been the national currency and fiat (fiduciary) money of the Republic of Cape Verde (Republic of Djibouti) since 1977. Replaced the previous official cur...rency of the Cape Verde Islands escudo at a ratio of 1 to 1. The Bank of Cape Verde periodically issues commemorative coins in base and precious metals. Commemorative coins are legal tender and must be accepted in all settlements at par. In 2014, a new issue of banknotes with improved anti-counterfeit protection followed. The banknote of 200 escudos was the first in the history of Cape Verde, printed on a polymer basis.

The Liberian dollar is the national currency of the Republic of Liberia. For the first time, the Liberian dollar appeared in the form of coins, it was after the declaration of independence of Liberia..., in 1847. Ten years later, the first banknotes appeared, in 1880 their issue was discontinued, coins were minted until 1906. All the while, the US dollar continued to play the role of a parallel legal tender.
