History reference:
The national currency of Egypt is the Egyptian pound or guinea, pronounced el-Giney, el-Mashri). Kazakhstani (Kazakh) tenge is the national currency of Kazakhstan. The history of the Kazakhstani tenge begins on November 15, 1993, when the currency was put into circulation. According to archaeologists, the first money that appeared on the territory of Kazakhstan is of Chinese origin. And from the 8th century, the steppe nomads of the region were invaded by the Arabs and settlements began to be carried out in silver dirhems. The first mints appeared in such ancient cities as Baraba, Ispidzhab, Taraz. The raw material for minting was the local silver mines located in the upper reaches of the Talas and Akhangaran rivers.
