History reference:
The Guernsey Pound is the currency of Guernsey, a tiny island in the English Channel. GGP is the currency code for the Guernsey pound, which is the official currency of Guernsey. Until 1834, Guernsey... used the French livre as currency, and then until 1921, French francs were accepted as payment. However, already in 1827, the issue of its own banknotes in pounds began, and since 1830, coins in duplicates, where 80 doubles amounted to 1 franc. From 1848 to 1850, the island had an ordinance accepting pounds for payment, reinstated for coins in 1870 (12.5 Guernsey pence became 1 shilling), and for banknotes in 1914 new own banknotes were printed, the denominations of which were shillings and francs. In 1921, Guernsey switched completely to pounds, pegging its pound to the British as 1:1, and in 1971 the decimal system was introduced.

History reference:
The Congolese franc has been the national currency and money of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1911 (from 1967 to 1997 in the country, in connection with the renaming of the country to Za...ire, it was renamed the new Zaire). The old name and country and money returned in 1997. In 1998, the Congolese franc was again declared the monetary unit, replacing the new zaire in the ratio: franc = 100,000 new zaire. The Bank of Zaire is renamed the Central Bank of the Congo. Banknotes of the 1997 sample were put into circulation.
