The state monetary unit of Hungary is the Hungarian Forint (Hungarian Forint, international code - HUF). Until 1991, following the inflationary processes, the National Bank expanded the available set of banknotes by issuing banknotes with a higher denomination. Later, it was decided to revise the design of the currency, and since 2001, on each banknote, on the one hand, a Hungarian statesman is depicted, and on the other, an event associated with his activities. It should be noted that there are no watermarks on the forints. Protection against counterfeiters is provided, first of all, by a holographic strip.
