The Croatian kuna is the national currency of Croatia (denoted as HRK or Kn). Croatia (officially the Republic of Croatia) is a state located in Southwestern Europe in the northwest of the Balkan Pen...insula. Croatia is bordered to the west by Slovenia, to the north by Hungary, to the east by Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and in the area of the enclave of Dubrovnik and Montenegro. From the southwest, the territory of Croatia is washed by the waters of the Adriatic Sea. Today, banknotes of 5-1000 kunas and coins of 1-25 kunas, 1-50 lipas are used in circulation. The Republic of Croatia wants to join the EU, but is not yet ready to abandon its banknote in favor of the euro. Local authorities have long been deciding how to name the national currency. The chosen name “kuna” is not accidental, it comes from “marten”, it was her skins that were previously used for payment. The same animal adorns the coins of the country. HRK appeared in circulation in 1994 instead of the Croatian dinar, which appeared in 1991 as a result of secession from Yugoslavia. Since 1995, the kuna has remained the only national currency in Croatia.

The Suriname dollar is the currency of the Republic of Suriname. From the end of the 17th century, the Surinamese guilder was used as a currency in Suriname, which was in circulation on a par with th...e Dutch guilder. In 1940, after the occupation of the Netherlands by Germany, the Surinamese guilder was pegged to the US dollar at a ratio of 1.88585 guilders to 1 dollar. High inflation in the early 1990s caused the Surinamese guilder to depreciate catastrophically, prompting a monetary reform. In the main circulation there are banknotes of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 Surinamese dollars issued in 2004 and 2010, as well as coins in denominations of 250, 100, 25, 10, 5 and 1 cent. The images on banknotes of 2010 are identical to the images on banknotes of 2004, only some degrees of protection have been added (holograms, etc.)
