History reference:
The rial was the currency of Persia from 1798 to 1825 and of Iran since 1932. The rial first became the derivative currency of Iran (at that time Persia) in 1798. The Kingdom of Nepal managed to make war with one of the largest states of that time - the British Empire. The fighting began in 1814 and ended two years later, in 1816. None of the parties won a clear victory, as a result of which a peace treaty was concluded that determined the borders of Nepal. They have remained unchanged to this day.
