The Comorian franc is the currency of the state of Comoros. The Comoros entered the franc zone in 1976. The name of the national currency is borrowed from the former metropolis, which is quite typical for states that were former colonies of France. The Comorian franc was put into circulation almost immediately after the countrys independence, replacing the French colonial franc. The Central Bank of Comoros, which is the main and only issuer of the national currency in the country, exchanged French colonial francs for the national currency at a ratio of one to one. But the relatively high exchange rate of the Comorian franc did not last long. During the period of the 80-90s of the last century, as a result of inflationary processes, it depreciated quite a lot, after which smaller denominations and coins were withdrawn from circulation.

Afghani is the official currency of Afghanistan. The currency has a long history and was introduced in 1926. Then it looked like a coin made of 900 silver and contained 10 g of pure silver. Afghanistans first own banknotes appeared only in 1935, when they were issued by the National Afghan Bank. In 1991, the banknotes of the period of the kingdom formally lost the force of legal tender, but in fact continued to be used in circulation. During the period of anarchy, warlords and other political movements used their own Afghanis. Until 2002, there were two types of Afghani in circulation: “pressure”, issued by the central government and “dostumi”, issued by order of General Dostum in the territory under his control. Outwardly, they did not differ, the difference is only at face value. The special currency of the Northern Alliance was also used. All banknotes since the April Revolution were printed in the USSR, then Russia.
