History reference:
The Liberian dollar is the national currency of the Republic of Liberia. For the first time, the Liberian dollar appeared in the form of coins, it was after the declaration of independence of Liberia..., in 1847. Ten years later, the first banknotes appeared, in 1880 their issue was discontinued, coins were minted until 1906. All the while, the US dollar continued to play the role of a parallel legal tender. In 1907, it was replaced by the pound sterling and then the West African pound. During the civil war of 1989-1996, there were actually two zones of monetary circulation: one controlled by the government and the rebels. History reference:
The krone is the currency of Sweden. The Swedish krona was introduced into circulation in 1873, as a result of the formation of the Scandinavian Monetary Union, which lasted until the First World War.... The new monetary unit replaced the riksdaler that had been in circulation before. The Scandinavian countries became members of the union, with the name of the currency krona in Sweden and krone in Denmark and Norway, which means “crown” in Scandinavian languages. After the collapse of this association, all three countries decided to keep the name, but for their own currencies. By tradition, on the front side of a coin in denominations of one crown, a portrait of the monarch of Sweden is depicted, and on the reverse side one of the coats of arms of Sweden, or a crown. The coin also bears the kings motto.
