History reference:
The Moldovan leu is the currency of Moldova. The Moldovan leu became the national currency of Moldova in late autumn 1993. The main role in the internal and external markets of the Moldavian Principality was played by foreign silver and gold coins: ducats, florins, zlotys and others. History reference:
The Congolese franc has been the national currency and money of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1911 (from 1967 to 1997 in the country, in connection with the renaming of the country to Za...ire, it was renamed the new Zaire). The old name and country and money returned in 1997. In 1998, the Congolese franc was again declared the monetary unit, replacing the new zaire in the ratio: franc = 100,000 new zaire. The Bank of Zaire is renamed the Central Bank of the Congo. Banknotes of the 1997 sample were put into circulation.
