History reference:
Pataca is the national currency of Macau (Aomyn or Macau) - a special administrative region of the Peoples Republic of China. The Guernsey Pound is the currency of Guernsey, a tiny island in the English Channel. GGP is the currency code for the Guernsey pound, which is the official currency of Guernsey. Until 1834, Guernsey... used the French livre as currency, and then until 1921, French francs were accepted as payment. However, already in 1827, the issue of its own banknotes in pounds began, and since 1830, coins in duplicates, where 80 doubles amounted to 1 franc. From 1848 to 1850, the island had an ordinance accepting pounds for payment, reinstated for coins in 1870 (12.5 Guernsey pence became 1 shilling), and for banknotes in 1914 new own banknotes were printed, the denominations of which were shillings and francs. In 1921, Guernsey switched completely to pounds, pegging its pound to the British as 1:1, and in 1971 the decimal system was introduced.
