History reference:
The Nepalese rupee has been the national currency and money of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal since 1932, when it replaced the Nepalese mohar at a ratio of 1:2. The first settlers on the te...rritory of todays Nepal appeared almost a thousand years BC. e. and over time settled in free areas. In the Middle Ages, there was already a kingdom here, which waged wars with its neighbors and managed to expand its borders. In 1768, the territory was conquered from India, where the capital of the state was later transferred. This is the city of Kathmandu, and today it is the capital of the country. The Kingdom of Nepal managed to make war with one of the largest states of that time - the British Empire. The fighting began in 1814 and ended two years later, in 1816. None of the parties won a clear victory, as a result of which a peace treaty was concluded that determined the borders of Nepal. They have remained unchanged to this day.

History reference:
CLP in the foreign exchange markets stands for the abbreviation for Chiles currency, known as the Chilean peso. The "old" peso was used as the currency in Chile between 1917 and 1959, when the escudo... (CLE) came into effect. The current (or new) Chilean peso was reintroduced on September 29, 1975, replacing the escudo with an exchange of 1 peso for 1,000 escudos. The Chilean people also refer to their currency as "lukoi" when referring to the 1,000 peso note, "quina" for the 500 peso coin, and "gamba" for the 100 peso coin. On September 29, 1975, instead of the escudo, the peso was reintroduced, the escudos were exchanged for 1000:1 pesos. During the years of the dictatorship, on the obverse of the 5 and 10 peso coins, the image of a winged woman breaking the chains was used, with the signature LIBERTAD (freedom) and the date of the military coup 9/11/1973 - the figure symbolized "liberation from Marxism". After the restoration of civil power in Chile, the design of the coins was changed, the image of the national hero Bernardo OHiggins was placed on the obverse.
