The kina is the national currency of Papua New Guinea. History reference:
The Tongan paanga or Tongan dollar or Tongan dollar has been the national currency and money of the Kingdom of Tonga since 1967. Initially pegged to the Australian dollar, it has since 1991 been pegg...ed to a basket of currencies: the Australian and New Zealand dollars, the US dollar and the Japanese yen. Paanga was introduced on April 3, 1967. He replaced the pound at the rate of 1 pound = 2 paang. Until 11 February 1991, the paanga was pegged to the Australian dollar at par.
