History reference:
The Seychelles rupee has been the national currency and money of the Republic of Seychelles since 1903, when the islands became a crown colony separate from Mauritius. The Seychelles established the ...rupee as its national currency in 1914, when it was still a British colony. The country also accepted currency from its neighbor, the Mauritian rupee. The British Board of Commissioners of Monetary Affairs continued to issue notes in 1918, 1928 and 1951. In circulation there are banknotes of 10, 25, 50, 100 and 500 rupees of various years of issue. Banknotes of the previous issues of 1983 and 1989 are legal tender, but are extremely rare.

Pataca is the national currency of Macau (Aomyn or Macau) - a special administrative region of the Peoples Republic of China. Pataca was introduced in Portuguese Macau and Portuguese Timor in 1894, b...ut only as a unit of account. The unit originally corresponded to the Spanish dollar, also known as the Mexican peso or the Philippine peso, and replaced the Portuguese real at the rate of 1 pataca = 450 riza. The name Pataca stems from the fact that the Portuguese always referred to the Spanish dollar as the Pataca mexicana, since as part of the Spanish colonial empire they were formerly usually minted in Mexico after which they rolled up the Philippines as part of the Spanish East Indies through the Manila-galeon trade.
