Due to high inflation, on May 18, 1987, another monetary reform was carried out, as a result of which a new Ugandan shilling was introduced at an exchange rate of 100: 1. But even this currency was already replaced in 2004 by the currency with the original name - the Ugandan shilling, which, due to the instability of the countrys economy, produces ever higher denominations.

After the Indian rupee depreciated in 1965, the value of the Persian Gulf rupee also fell. As a result, the government of Bahrain decided to introduce its own currency into circulation. For some time in Abu Dhabi, the Bahraini dinar was used as the main currency, until it was replaced by the UAE dirham in 1973. Today, the Bahraini dinar is pegged to the US dollar.
