The Ugandan shilling is the currency of Uganda. With the release of the national currency, the exchange of East African shillings 1: 1 for it and their gradual withdrawal from circulation began. From October 21 to October 29, 1979, the government carried out the first currency denomination. Due to high inflation, on May 18, 1987, another monetary reform was carried out, as a result of which a new Ugandan shilling was introduced at an exchange rate of 100: 1. But even this currency was already replaced in 2004 by the currency with the original name - the Ugandan shilling, which, due to the instability of the countrys economy, produces ever higher denominations.

The Rwandan franc or Rwandan franc is the national currency of Rwanda. While this was originally planned to happen by the end of 2012, as of December 2020, the single currency has yet to be introduced.
