The Uruguayan peso is the official currency of Uruguay. The territory of Uruguay is almost completely covered by the South American rainforest jungle. The Kuwaiti dinar is currently the national currency of Kuwait. The Kuwaiti dinar was introduced into circulation on April 1, 1961, replacing the Gulf rupee. In 1990, Iraq occupied Kuwait, the Iraqi dinar was put into circulation, and during the six months of occupation, all cash was taken out of the country.
