History reference:
The national official currency of Cameroon is the CFA franc BEAC, the franc of financial cooperation in Central Africa, or the Central African franc (international designation XAF). The Central Afric...an franc is the currency of thirteen African countries in the French franc currency area. The XAF has its origins in Frances African colonial empire. France ruled most of West and Central Africa from the mid-nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. In 1910, the French government established the French Equatorial Africa, which was a federation of French colonial possessions in Equatorial Africa, stretching north from the Congo River to the Sahel.

History reference:
CLP in the foreign exchange markets stands for the abbreviation for Chiles currency, known as the Chilean peso. The "old" peso was used as the currency in Chile between 1917 and 1959, when the escudo... (CLE) came into effect. The current (or new) Chilean peso was reintroduced on September 29, 1975, replacing the escudo with an exchange of 1 peso for 1,000 escudos. The Chilean people also refer to their currency as "lukoi" when referring to the 1,000 peso note, "quina" for the 500 peso coin, and "gamba" for the 100 peso coin. On September 29, 1975, instead of the escudo, the peso was reintroduced, the escudos were exchanged for 1000:1 pesos. During the years of the dictatorship, on the obverse of the 5 and 10 peso coins, the image of a winged woman breaking the chains was used, with the signature LIBERTAD (freedom) and the date of the military coup 9/11/1973 - the figure symbolized "liberation from Marxism". After the restoration of civil power in Chile, the design of the coins was changed, the image of the national hero Bernardo OHiggins was placed on the obverse.
