The Central Afric...an franc is the currency of thirteen African countries in the French franc currency area. The XAF has its origins in Frances African colonial empire. France ruled most of West and Central Africa from the mid-nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. In 1910, the French government established the French Equatorial Africa, which was a federation of French colonial possessions in Equatorial Africa, stretching north from the Congo River to the Sahel.

History reference:
The Fijian dollar (FJD) is the national currency of the Republic of Fiji, an archipelago state with over 300 islands. FJD was first introduced in 1867, but its latest iteration has been around since ...1969. The modern version of the FJD was introduced in 1969, replacing the Fijian pound at a rate of 2 FJD per Fijian pound. Since then, however, the value of the FJD has been allowed to fluctuate freely in the international currency markets. Between October 2015 and October 2020, the value of FJD against the US dollar remained relatively stable at approximately $0.47 per FJD.
