History reference:
The CFA franc was introduced as the single currency of the French territories of West and Central Africa on December 26, 1945. At first, the common currency was the French franc, but after the adoption of a decree in 1945, the CFA franc was introduced into circulation. The currency ratio was as follows: 1 CFA franc = 1.70 French francs. On November 20, 1963, Togo officially joined the Monetary Union. Mauritania leaves the Monetary Union in 1973. In the middle of 1984, Mali returned to the union. History reference:
The lek is the monetary unit of Albania and has been in circulation since 1926 along with the Albanian franc. The Albanian franc appeared in 1926, when Albania became part of the Latin Monetary Union, and was able to provide the domestic currency with gold and silver. A lek was considered 1/5 of a gold franc. In 1965, a denomination was carried out in Albania.
