History reference:
CLP in the foreign exchange markets stands for the abbreviation for Chiles currency, known as the Chilean peso. The "old" peso was used as the currency in Chile between 1917 and 1959, when the escudo... (CLE) came into effect. The current (or new) Chilean peso was reintroduced on September 29, 1975, replacing the escudo with an exchange of 1 peso for 1,000 escudos. The Chilean people also refer to their currency as "lukoi" when referring to the 1,000 peso note, "quina" for the 500 peso coin, and "gamba" for the 100 peso coin. On September 29, 1975, instead of the escudo, the peso was reintroduced, the escudos were exchanged for 1000:1 pesos. During the years of the dictatorship, on the obverse of the 5 and 10 peso coins, the image of a winged woman breaking the chains was used, with the signature LIBERTAD (freedom) and the date of the military coup 9/11/1973 - the figure symbolized "liberation from Marxism". After the restoration of civil power in Chile, the design of the coins was changed, the image of the national hero Bernardo OHiggins was placed on the obverse.

The Tanzanian shilling is the currency of Tanzania. The Tanzanian shilling has been in use since 1966, when it replaced the East African shilling at par or at a 1:1 ratio. Prior to the introduction o...f the Tanzanian shilling, other currencies circulated in Tanzania, including the East African florin, East African rupee, East African shilling, Zanzibar rupee, Zanzibar rial and German East African rupee. Banknotes issued in 2003 began to be used in February of the same year, and money of the 2010 sample was officially put into circulation in January 2011.
