The Guernsey Pound is the currency of Guernsey, a tiny island in the English Channel. GGP is the currency code for the Guernsey pound, which is the official currency of Guernsey. Until 1834, Guernsey... used the French livre as currency, and then until 1921, French francs were accepted as payment. However, already in 1827, the issue of its own banknotes in pounds began, and since 1830, coins in duplicates, where 80 doubles amounted to 1 franc.
