History reference:
The Malawian kwacha is the national currency of the Republic of Malawi. Banknotes in denominations of 50 tambals, 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Malawian kwachas are in circulation, in total more... than 35 banknotes of various modifications. However, in real money circulation, there are only banknotes of the series issued in 1997. There are also coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 tambals and 1 kwacha. Malawian kwacha banknotes were printed at the Royal Mint of Great Britain. The design of Malawian coins is quite interesting for specialists and numismatists. On the reverse of all Malawian coins, in addition to the digital denomination and the name of the state, animals are depicted that live on the territory of the country.

History reference:
The Japanese yen is the official currency of Japan, one of the worlds leading currencies, an important reserve currency along with the US dollar, euro and pound sterling. On the front side of Japanes...e banknotes, writers and educators are depicted: 10,000 yen - a portrait of Fukuzawa Yukichi, 5,000 - Nitobe Inazo, 2,000 - Murasaki Shikubu, and 1,000 - Natsume Soseki. Coins differ from each other in the material of manufacture and pattern. Made of nickel are 500 yen (with a paulownia flower on the front), 100 yen (sakura), and 50 yen (chrysanthemum). A 10 yen coin, which depicts the Phoenix Hall of Bedoin Monastery, and a 5 yen coin decorated with a rice ear are minted from bronze. 1 yen is made of aluminum and contains a symbolic image of a seedling. On the reverse side of the coins, as a rule, the denomination and year of issue are indicated. 5 and 50 yen have a hole in the center.
